Join the Pelvic Floor & Core for Athletes Workshop on Saturday, June 5, at 12pm EST. The event will be hosted virtually by Pelvic Health Physiotherapist Dr. Terri Robertson Elder and CrossFit Level 2 Trainer and Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism Coach Kate Johnson.
This workshop will benefit athletes experiencing pelvic floor health concerns or those simply wanting to understand their core and pelvic floor better!
Pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti, and incontinence are common core and pelvic health issues, however there is so much help available if you would like to learn more. Pelvic floor health concerns can affect women, men, young, old, moms or not.
This workshop will cover the pelvic health basics you should've learned in health class, discuss pelvic floor & core physiology and the roles they play in athletics, and provide an overview of common symptoms like prolapse, incontinence, diastasis recti and pelvic pain. In addition, we will introduce strategies and movement considerations to help athletes manage or minimize pelvic floor and core symptoms.
It's our mission to help educate, empower and support you in navigating your pelvic health and doing the things you love to do! Understanding the role of the core and pelvic floor, along with different breathing and movement strategies, can improve performance in all athletes (men, you too!)
Event workshop cost: $75 (Street Parking members check for your discount code here!)
Only 50 seats available!
Workshop will be held virtually via Zoom! Event details sent upon registration.
Ticket includes bonus material: after workshop office hours 1-2 weeks after event, 30+ page pregnancy and postpartum strategy workbook, pelvic health handouts, a squatty potty giveaway and more!
